For those of you that have driven or walked around the Racine Gateway Campus you have probably noticed the newly installed Windspire wind turbines. ESS installed the three units and they are now producing electricity for the campus. The units are located on the east side of the building and are very easy to see.
Just another way Gateway is looking to improve the look of the campus for the students and to help offset the rising energy costs.

How are these turbines doing now? Have these improved the status of the school in terms of costs in electrical systems? How long did they take before they fully implemented the wind turbine system?

Hi Vivan... The units are doing well, spinning like crazy. Schools use alot of electricity, the units were designed to power certain areas and they are doing that well. If you are asking about installation, it takes about two days to install, including assembly of the units in our shop and on the job.
